Full conference passes for the 2018 BC Liquor Conference sold out!
ABLE BC is excited to announce the BC Liquor Conference has officially sold out for the third year in a row.
We have made a very limited number of seminar-only tickets available for the following seminars on Monday, October 29, 2018:
Seminar 1A: Recreational cannabis is legal – now what? Strategies to manage cannabis-related risks
Speaker: Lorne Folick, Dolden Wallace Folick LLP
The legalization of cannabis has created an entirely new industry – with an entirely new set of potential legal risks. What are going to be the rules around the co-use of liquor and cannabis? Should liquor providers be concerned?
Alcohol producers are buying into the cannabis industry. Does this mean that cannabis infused alcoholic beverages will be sold under licence? If so, how is it to be done “safely”? What are the legal risks? Lorne’s presentation will attempt to address these important questions.
Seminar 2A: Using data to drive sales at your LRS
Speaker: Paul Rickett, Bowen Beer and Wine Cellar and VARketing
Retail benchmarks provide an integral input to business planning and a baseline for you to compare your liquor store against the industry as a whole.
In summer 2018, ABLE BC collected data from our membership to create an economic snapshot of BC’s private liquor industry. We surveyed private liquor stores across BC to help develop KPIs or benchmarks for your business, based on store size, customer demographics, and regions.
During this seminar, Paul Rickett will present key benchmarks you can incorporate into your LRS business planning, drawing on survey results and LDB data. You will also learn which customer demographics you need to be tracking if you want to drive sales at your liquor store.

Cost per seminar ticket: $50
