Starting this spring, individuals and business across the province can apply for a license to retail non-medical cannabis in British Columbia. Selling legalized recreational cannabis is one of the biggest retail opportunities in recent memory. Last year alone, Canadians spent $5.75 billion to buy 773.3 tonnes of marijuana. Cannabis contributed $3 billion to the Canadian economy in 2017 and almost $34 billion over the past decade.
The industry will be competitive. BC isn’t capping the number of retail licenses issued and ultimately anyone can apply. Get ahead of the competition and learn how to set up your cannabis retail store for success.
