November 14, 2019
Tourism HR Canada is inviting ABLE BC members to an upcoming session to define the future skills needed in tourism and hospitality.
They are looking for managers from across the tourism industry with a broad experience of managing a tourism operation to attend a focus group on December 3 and 4 in Vancouver.
Please RSVP by tomorrow (November 15) at 9:00 am PST by sending an email to Ramon Smits: firstname.lastname@example.org. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
This session will contribute towards a multi-year project aiming to develop a comprehensive future skills framework.
This framework will help redress the skills and labour mismatches in tourism, while aiding job seekers, educators, and governments in better understanding the skills and competencies employers are looking for.
All costs incurred to attend the session – i.e. travel, accommodation, and meal expenses – will be covered on Tourism HR Canada.
By sharing your knowledge, experience, and opinions, you will make a vital contribution in shaping the future direction of tourism skills. You will also have the chance to connect with other industry professionals.
For additional information on the project, session, and your role, please see the agenda.
