ceba repayment deadline:

ABLE BC’s Executive Director Jeff Guignard and The Business Technical Advisory Panel (BTAP) wrote to Minister Freeland advocating on behalf of our members about the Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA) loan reimbursement deadline. We wrote to Minister Freeland in support of Restaurants Canada’s proposal to:

Extend the CEBA repayment deadline by 36 months to ensure that debt repayments do not undermine industry profitability in the short-term, and implement a “scale-down” model of the forgivable part, decreasing by five per cent every six months.

BCGEU STRIKE:

Open letter to Premier Horgan and the BCGEU on behalf of B.C. hospitality, tourism, accommodation, liquor and cannabis retail businesses

A broad coalition of industry associations, led by ABLE BC and the BCRFA, are calling for a quick end to this dispute and for the BCGEU to end their strike action at LDB warehouses during negotiations.
