LDB Wholesale Todd Cooper’s ‘Re-Wire-Ment’

After four years spent transforming the LDB Wholesale’s liquor business, Todd Cooper, Executive Director Wholesale Operations, has decided to take an extended leave from working life.

As shared by LDB General Manager and CEO Blain Lawson, this is: “Not a retirement but a ‘re-wire-ment’ according to Todd, whose decision comes after much thoughtful deliberation. This extended time off from work will allow him to spend more time with his family, travel and continue to give back to his community.”

When he joined the LDB as Executive Director in 2015, Todd was tasked with developing a separate Wholesale Operations division, and with establishing a new distribution centre to replace the outsized facility in Vancouver. As he worked to meet those objectives, Todd also focused on improving service to wholesale customers and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and industry associations.

While we completely understand and support Todd’s reasons, ABLE BC’s Board of Directors and staff will miss working with him. We have greatly appreciated Todd’s professionalism, diligence, and overall approach to his job. Despite the issues members have experienced with LDB Wholesale over the years, we can say without reservation or hyperbole that LDB Wholesale has become a demonstrably better and more efficient organization under Todd’s leadership. In brief, he’s leaving our industry in a better place than he found it.

Todd will remain with the LDB until February 14. Please join us in thanking Todd for his work and wishing him the very best in this next stage.

The search for a new Executive Director of Wholesale Operations is now underway. Long-time Director of Wholesale Supply Chain Sairose Fisher has been appointed Acting Executive Director, Wholesale Operations.

ABLE BC looks forward to continuing our work with the LDB and establishing a relationship with the new Executive Director.
